Letizia Caruzzo and Mauro Fabbro have been working together during the last ten years making projects in Greece, Cyprus, U.K. , Switzerland, Milano, for private houses, hotels, restaurants, public environments. Most of these projects have been published in both foreign and national magazines and books of design and architecture.
In March 2009 they have formed a new studio in Milano.
Letizia Caruzzo (feminine side of the studio Caruzzo Rancati until 2008) made extraordinary experience of sales point design: the collaboration with the milanese designer Gianfranco Ferrè, began in 1985, has been particularly intense and profi table and brought to the design for point of purchase boutiques, designing and building more
than fi fty projects around the world for him.
Among the more recent projects studied together by the former studio Caruzzo Rancati and Mauro Fabbro, the refurbishment of Londa Beach Hotel in Limassol on the island of Cyprus, gave the opportunity to re elaborate the concept of Aegean sea resort hotel. The theme interweaves geometry landscape and culture into a melange
that feely traces the interplay of Man and Nature in the Mediterranean area such as to define a place of rarefi ed intensity.
Letizia Caruzzo is a professor in the Architecture Faculty of the Politecnico of Milano at Bovisa where she leads a laboratory in interior architecture and design.
Mauro Fabbro teaches in the same laboratory: he is also specialized in light design (his own brand), and makes lamps that are conceived as magic objects in between design and art.
